Pet Portrait Pricing

I haven't been accepting portraits as my demand for prints have become too high. But I have had so many requests for portraits I decided to come up with a way I could fit them in and still not fall behind on my print demand.

If you have a purebred animal, you will have the option of a lower priced portrait if you give me permission to make and sell prints of the finished artwork. This is nothing against mixed breeds, I love mixed breeds and some of my best friends are mixes. I am a strong supporter of rescue. But I won't be able to sell prints of mixed breeds, as no one will likely have a dog or animal that looks just like your mixed breed, so wouldn't be buying the prints. Additional pet in same portrait is %25 extra.

I would need to approve your photo before taking on a commission. The photo needs to be clear, showing adequate detail and be quite near how you would like the portrait to be. It can take many extra hours and often days trying to descern details in pets faces, etc from poor photographs. My main concern with each portrait is to have it depict your pet as accurately as possible and to capture his or her personality, so I would like to work from photos that best show me this side of your pet since I usually don't get the privilege of meeting your pet in person. Please see these tips on how to take a good photo of your pet.

Color portraits are either oil, acrylic or mixed media.

Time needed depends on how many portraits I have ahead of you.

You must be happy with your portrait or you are not obligated to purchase.

I ask for a deposit of 50% at the start. The balance isn't due until you have seen the portrait via email and are happy with it. If for some reason you are not, then I would gladly keep the portrait and send you a complete refund of your deposit. I want you to be 100% happy with your portrait, otherwise you are not obligated to purchase.
